Lumieres Clinic

Brand strategy and website design for a natural healing clinic specialising in reiki, crystal therapy & essential oils.

For a clinic named Lumières - French for lights, a reference to practitioner Michele Dyson's French heritage - there was more precise territory available. Light is not just a naming choice; it maps onto the practice itself. Reiki works with energy and life force. Crystal therapy works with the reflection and refraction of light through stone. Essential oils work with olfactory clarity - scent as illumination.

The brand is pitched specifically at women - the clients Michele works with - and the design reflects this without defaulting to the conventional shorthand of femininity in wellness branding.

The website's conversion structure is direct: Book Appointment sits at persistent navigation level throughout, but the path to booking routes through the questions a first-time client carries about a practice they may never have encountered. Who is the practitioner. What a session involves. What to expect. For a solo practice built on one-to-one trust, the design's primary job is not to explain reiki but to make the practitioner's expertise and care legible before a first appointment. The business cards extend the brand into the physical touchpoint most likely to precede that first visit - a referral, a recommendation, a card handed over after a conversation.

“I really appreciate that Gemma listened carefully to my business ideas and could put it all together in a cohesive way. I’m delighted with the website and the ease at which I can edit it as needed.”
